About the Artists

Katie Mitts is a painter who specializes in landscapes and portraits. Her childhood was full of adventures around the globe. She graduated high school in Texas and received her BFA in painting from Oklahoma State University. Katie loves music, comedy, and especially improv. She has graduated from multiple courses with Bandit Theatre and performed with One Table in Tacoma. 

Brandon Mitts is a visual artist living and working in Washington. He grew up in the Oklahoma panhandle, went to Oklahoma State, and received an MFA in painting/drawing from Arizona State. The first abstract painting he made was titled Rattlesnake Wire #1. It was a windshield bug splat superimposed on a quilt pattern. Every piece he's made since has had windshield-bug-splat-quilt energy.
